Bamboo weaving is a traditional bamboo craft with a long history, embodying the crystallization of the hard work of the Chinese laboring people. Bamboo crafts are divided into fine-thread crafts and coarse-thread bamboo crafts. On June 7, 2008, bamboo weaving was approved by the State Council and included in the second batch of national-level intangible cultural heritage list.
